After the policy
Policy Handling
Placing cover is the start of the relationship, not the end of it. Policy handling is the ongoing management of your cover — proof when someone demands it, changes when the business changes, renewals reviewed before they roll over, and clear steps when an incident happens.
What we handle
The work that keeps cover matching the business.
01
Certificates of currency
Landlords, venues and councils often want proof of cover fast — sometimes before they’ll sign a lease, confirm a booking or issue a permit. We arrange certificates of currency so a paperwork request doesn’t have to slow the business down.
02
Policy changes
New location. New classes on the timetable. New equipment on the floor. More members through the door. Cover should track how the business actually changes — tell us what’s different and we review whether the policy still matches, subject to the policy terms.
03
Renewals
A renewal should not simply roll over because the date arrived. Before renewal, we review what changed across the year, including the training you run, the space you use and the numbers on the mats. This lets us recommend options based on how you operate now. Any renewed cover remains subject to eligibility, insurer acceptance and policy terms.
04
When an incident happens
You call, and we walk you through it: what to record, who to notify and how the process runs from lodgement onwards. Clear steps and straight answers — no promises about outcomes, because every claim depends on the policy terms and the circumstances.
Cover is subject to eligibility, the policy terms, conditions, limits and exclusions. Read the relevant policy documents before making a decision.
Policy requests
Tell us what changed.
Opened a second location? Added a striking class? Put a cage in? Signed up a wave of new members? Lodge the change through our form and we take it from there. If it’s easier to talk it through first, pick up the phone — that works too.
If something happens
Get the record right on the day.
General guidance only
Every claim depends on the policy terms and the circumstances. What you can control is the record — get that right on the day and the whole process runs cleaner. Keep:
- Photos of the area, the equipment and anything else relevant, taken on the day
- A written incident report, completed while it’s still fresh
- Names and contact details of anyone who saw what happened
- A simple timeline — what happened, when, and who did what next
Then pick up the phone
Don’t sit on it. Call us early — even if you’re not sure it will turn into anything — and we’ll walk you through the next steps, what the insurer is likely to ask for and how the process runs from there.
